Lagos Red Rail line: Eze Igbo Ghana HRM Ihenetu congratulates Gov Sanwo-Olu, President Tinubu
The Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu, has congratulated the Governor of Lagos State.
His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on the commissioning of the RedLine Rail Mass Transit project in the state.President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the Red Line Rail Mass Transit project in Lagos State, marking a significant milestone in the city’s transportation system.
In a statement issued from the revered Obiukwu Obieziokwu palace in Ghana, HRM Dr Ihenetu described the rail line project as a milestone in the transformation of Lagos to a Megacity In the same breath. the Umuduruoha Amigbo Nwagele Imo state-born Royal father equally congratulated President Tinubu for being the president to commission the project. Eze Ihenetu recalled that President Tinubu, while he was Governor of Lagos State, laied the metropolitan transportation masterplan, which the successive governors and administration have followed tenaciously.
The Red Rail Line, spanning 37 km and boasting 13 stations, integrates major bus terminals at Oyingbo, Yaba, Oshodi, Ikeja, Ebute Metta, Iju, and Iddo, with a direct link to the international and domestic wings of the Murtala Muhammed Airport. Also, the project holds the capacity to transport an impressive 1.1 million people daily when fully operational.
