Kokopelli Gallery proudly presents “This is How a Fire Burns”, a dynamic group exhibition featuring the works of four contemporary artists: Adubi Mydaz, Adulphina Imuede, Timi Kakandar and Rachel Seidu.

The ongoing exhibition runs till October 25, 2024, and the show invites audiences to step into a visual journey that explores the transformative power of human emotion, connection and change.

Fire is both a creator and destroyer, a force that has long been woven into the fabric of cultures and histories across the globe.

In “This is How a Fire Burns”, the featured artists reflect on this duality, using fire as a metaphor for life’s unpredictable yet inevitable transformations. Through a striking collection of 12 artworks and a series of evocative photographs, the exhibition weaves narratives of personal heritage, identity, and evolution.

Adubi Mydaz, known for bold, abstract compositions, plays with fire’s unpredictability in a series of paintings that juxtapose vibrant colors with sharp, deliberate lines. Adulphina Imuede’s intricate pieces delve into symbolism and cultural memory, offering layered interpretations of identity and history.
