Olatokunbo Foundation, in conjunction with Paddysco Sports Academy, is preaching peace and unity with the Unshackled Progressive Football Challenge Cup.

The tournament for select teams in Lagos State, is geared towards getting the youths positively involved in the upliftment of the country, helping in capacity building and as well as encouraging the youths in channeling their talents to get the desired results.

Eight teams namely; Paddysco FC, Young Stars FC, AJ United, Glorious FC and Smart City FC, among others will trade tackles at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium Surulere, Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan and the Nathaniel Idowu Stadium, Ajegunle.

According to the organisers of the tournament, Paddysco Sports Academy Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peter Okereke, the essence is to preach peace in a very short form and Olatokunbo foundation deemed it fit to come up with this initiative.

“While we are using the tournament as a developmental program, we are also using it to get the youths involved in Nigeria’s unity. We are also using it as point of contact to discuss the progress of Nigeria.

“We are going to see a very good tournament because the organizers have done so very well in ensuring a well packaged event, it is all about positively doing something to help the nation grow.

Meanwhile, each team is expected to play three3 matches in league format between April 3-April 26.

The 1st place winners of the two centres will play each other in the finals, while the 2nd place winners of the two centres play the 3rd place match.
