Team Nigeria wins Men’s 4x100m in Botswana

Team Nigeria
  • •Misses World Relays qualification mark

Team Nigeria delivered a strong performance to claim victory in the men’s 4x100m event at the Botswana Athletics National Championship, clocking a time of 39.15 seconds to finish ahead of the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The quartet of Enoch Adegoke, Chidera Ezeakor, Tejiri Godwin, and James Emmanuel combined effectively on the track, showing impressive coordination and speed to secure top spot in the race.

Despite the win, the Nigerian team fell short of the qualification standard required for the upcoming World Relays.

Their time of 39.15 seconds was outside the benchmark of 38.73 seconds needed to book a place at the global event.

The result means that while Team Nigeria celebrated victory on the day, they will have to look for another opportunity to meet the qualification criteria for the World Relays.
