Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has issued an Executive Order to ensure the immediate commencement and completion of all outstanding pensions, gratuities, and related entitlements for all verified pensioners in the state.
Mr Yusuf Sanda, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, disclosed this in a press statement issued in Jalingo on Sunday night.
Sanda said that the action reflects the governor’s compassion and commitment to the welfare of senior citizens who have served the state diligently.
He said that a special outreach team will be deployed to all local government areas, wards, and villages to locate and document pensioners who are alive but incapacitated, ensuring that their entitlements are paid without any difficulties.

The government urges all pensioners to remain calm and assures them that the payment process is being prioritised and handled with urgency.
“Taraba State must honour those who have dedicated their lives to public service. Their dignity is non-negotiable, and attending to their welfare is our moral duty,” the statement reads in part.
