Three persons reportedly lost their lives in a fire outbreak that occurred when a tanker The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed this to journalists.
She urged motorists and commuters to use alternative routes and avoid the area due to the presence of the cylinders with contents still inside pending when it would be evacuated.
It was gathered that the driver of the tanker lost control as he tried to navigate the Obiri Ikwerre flyover.
An eyewitness said the tanker was carrying Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), which fell over and exploded, razing some vehicles and valuables. It was gathered that security agents and fire fighters were still at the scene trying to contain the fire.
