The Commissioner for Information in Sokoto State, Barrister Bello Muhammad Goronyo, has defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Goronyo, until his defection, was the State Commissioner in charge of information ministry and Chairman, Publicity Committee of the PDP campaign for the forthcoming general elections.
He announced his defection, yesterday, at the flag off campaign rally of the APC, held in Wamakko town, the hometown of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the leader of the party in the state.
Goronyo’s defection was cheered by thousands of party supporters who thronged the campaign rally. He, however, did not state the reason why he abandoned Tambuwal’s government to join the opposition.
