Talent manager and showbiz impresario, Nelson NseAbasi, has commended President Bola Tinubu for the appointment of Hannatu Musa Musawa as Special Adviser on Culture and Entertainment Economy.

The entertainment entrepreneur reeled out the commendation in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State while speaking on what the future holds for talents in the entertainment industry, and his start-up, Talent Bank Nigeria.

According to NseAbasi, the last that was heard of entertainment at the national level was during the time of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“In that era, there were series of interactions with critical stakeholders in the entertainment industry, as the then president had promised to inject funds to boost the revenue of the creative economy as a key income earner for the country, but all of that became past tense when he lost the election in 2015,” he recalled.

NseAbasi said further: “Although, I have not met her, I received with joy the appointment of Hannatu Musa Musawa as Special Adviser to the President on Culture and Entertainment Economy. I am confident that she will deliver on the task of co-ordinating the vibrant sector.”

Musawa is a renowned advocate for culture and entertainment. She has actively promoted the growth and development of these sectors through her work as a filmmaker, cultural entrepreneur, and policy advocate.

“Musawa’s appointment as the Special Adviser for Culture and Entertainment Economy can be referred to as placing a square peg in a square hole, as she will bring to bare her deep understanding and passion for harnessing the potential of these sectors for national development,” the talent manager stressed.

Known for his creative/entertainment consultancy services for many administrations in Cross River and his home-state, Akwa Ibom, Nelson

NseAbasi has served on the board of top-notch government and private sector sponsored events across Nigeria for several years. His start-up, Talent Bank Nigeria, seeks to get on-board a reliable database project for the Nigerian entertainment industry.
