A man who claimed to be a local hunter, Ogunbunmi Jelili, has been arrested by Osun State Police Command for allegedly raping a lady at gunpoint.
The suspect was said to have attacked the lady and his boyfriend at Poyika Adewumi village Via Olode in Ife South Local Government and threatened to kill them.
While Daniel ran away, the suspect allegedly dragged the lady into the bush and forcefully had intercourse with her.
The 18-year-old victim was said to have gone out with her boyfriend simply identified as Daniel to buy a soft drink around 8 pm when the incident happened.
The spokesperson of the police in Osun, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident to Daily Sun on Sunday.
She said that the suspect was arrested with a Dane gun and his case has been referred to the Criminal Investigative Department (CID).
