Suspected members of Boko Haram on Monday evening attacked Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, forcing residents to flee.
Details of casualties remain unclear as of the time of filing this report.
Sources said the attackers stormed the community at about 6:00 p.m., triggering panic as villagers ran for safety. The area has suffered repeated incursions by insurgents over the years.

A resident, John Audu, who is currently in Maiduguri, confirmed the incident and urged prayers for those affected.
“Families, let us pray for our people in Kautikari, which is currently under attack by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists,” he said.
As of press time, there has been no official statement from security authorities on the attack.
