A suspect has been taken into custody after a shooting incident was reported at the Los Angeles home of global music star Rihanna on Sunday afternoon.
Law enforcement sources said the incident occurred when the suspect, who is a female around 30 years old, pulled up close to the singer’s property and several rounds were fired in the direction of the residence.
Authorities quickly responded to the scene and detained the suspect without further incident.

Sources indicated that Rihanna was inside the home at the time of the shooting but was unharmed. It remains unclear whether her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children — RZA, Riot Rose and Rocki — were present when the incident happened.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting. Officials have not yet disclosed additional details about the suspect or what may have prompted the attack.
Representatives for Rihanna have not publicly commented on the incident as of the time of filing this report. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
