As the 2026 FIFA World Cup gets underway across North America, supersport.com has announced the launch of a series of exclusive Virtual Round Tables aimed at connecting African media with some of football’s most celebrated figures.
The inaugural session, scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, will feature former Chelsea FC and England National Football Team captain John Terry.
Regarded as one of the finest defenders of his generation, Terry enjoyed a distinguished playing career, making 717 appearances for Chelsea and scoring 67 goals. He captained the London club during its most successful period, leading the team to multiple domestic and European honours, including Premier League titles, FA Cups, League Cups, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League.
With global attention focused on the World Cup, Terry is expected to provide expert analysis on the tournament’s major storylines, discuss the qualities required for success at the highest level, and share insights from his experiences as a player and leader.

The virtual discussion will be moderated by Lwazi Ziqulu, one of Africa’s leading football broadcasters and a familiar presence at major international tournaments.
According to SuperSport, the session will offer participating journalists exclusive access to Terry, insights into the teams and players expected to shape the World Cup, lessons on leadership and elite performance, as well as an interactive question-and-answer segment.
The event marks the first edition of SuperSport’s World Cup Virtual Round Table series, which is designed to bring African media closer to prominent figures in global football throughout the tournament.
