Paris Saint-Germain Feminines have confirmed that Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade will undergo surgery after suffering a fibula fracture while on international duty.
Ajibade sustained the injury during the second leg of Nigeria’s second-round qualifying tie against Comoros for the 2028 Olympic Games at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne, Ogun State.
The 26-year-old was forced off in the 23rd minute and replaced by Folashade Ijamilusi. Nigeria went on to secure a convincing 5-0 victory in the encounter.
The surgery, according to PSG, will be performed by the club’s leading surgeons.
Ajibade will afterwards begin rehabilitation with the medical team.
The timeline for her recovery is expected to be announced by PSG.
