The Super Eagles of Nigeria retained the 26th position in the latest men’s ranking announced by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) on Wednesday.
In March, Éric Chelle’s team played two matches against Iran and Jordan.
The three-time African champions overcame Iran 2-1 but were held to a 2-2 draw by Jordan.

The Super Eagles also remain the third-best team in Africa, behind Morocco (8th) and Senegal (14th).
Algeria and Egypt complete the top five African teams in the ranking.
At the top of the ranking, France replaced Spain as the world’s highest-ranked team.
The next edition of the FIFA men’s world ranking will be released on June 10, 2026.
