Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Jamaica on penalties in the final of this year’s Unity Cup on Saturday.
The game concluded 2-2 in regulation time.
Moses Simon opened the goal record with a beautiful finish from Cyriel Dessers’ cross, but the Raggae Boys responded nearly immediately through Kaheim Dixon.
The Super Eagles again went in front, thanks to a fantastic solo effort from Samuel Chukwueze.
Again, Jamaica found an equalizer, with Jon Russell finding the back of the net in the 63rd minute.
The game ended 2-2 and went into a penalty shootout, which the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Jamaica 5 – 4 to win the Unity Cup.
This win means that Nigeria won the trophy for the second consecutive time.
