The Managing Director of The Sun newspaper, Onuoha Ukeh, has been elected General Secretary of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).
Ukeh emerged victorious at the Guild’s ongoing Biennial National Convention, taking place at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.

He secured 218 votes to defeat his closest rival, Wole Sogunle, who garnered 45 votes, while Qasim Akinreti polled 30 votes.
As of the time of filing this report, voting for other positions was still ongoing.
