A suicide bomber, who reportedly attempted to infiltrate University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) was shot dead, on Sunday, by troops stationed at the institution.
The suicide bomber, it was gathered, had attempted to gain entry into the school through the works department.
The suicide bomber reportedly entered the University through the back gate before being gunned down by a vigilant soldier.
Public relations officer of UNIMAID, Mr. Tanko Ahmed, said the incident occurred around 11:00 p,m Sunday night.
He said the works department where the incident occurred have been cordoned off by security agents to render the area safe.
” The area have been cordoned off by security agents.”
