The stage is set for the 28th annual festival of Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON), which will take place at MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos from October 13 to 27, 2024.

With the theme: ‘Revival in the Arts’, this year’s festival promises a diverse lineup of performances and exhibitions designed to spotlight the pinnacle of classical music and the arts’ role in enriching society.

The festival will kick off on October 13 with an Art Exhibition and Brunch, showcasing the works of renowned Nigerian artists. Music enthusiasts can also look forward to MUSON Day on October 15, Music Quest competition on October 18, and Jazz Night on October 25, sponsored by Zenith Bank.

The festival will culminate in a grand Gala Concert on October 27, featuring a full performance of Joseph Haydn’s The Creation by the MUSON Choir and Orchestra.

MUSON’s commitment to promoting classical music and the arts is evident in its two Schools of Music, which offer graded exams and a diploma course for young musicians. The society’s efforts have contributed to the development of talented musicians who are making significant contributions to the Nigerian and international music scene.
