SOUTH SOUTH PEOPLE’S CONFERENCE (SSOPEC) is socio cultural group in Nigeria which also plays some advocacy role in the development of South South Ethnic Nationality .WE, SSOPEC where the Frontline organization that agitated for the establishment of the NDDC through the likes of Late Chief Dappa Biriye of his Blessed Memory and LATE Senator Joseph Wayas (Former Senate president Of the federal Republic of Nigeria)
SSOPEC wrote several memoranda and play a key roles for the Emergence of NDDC that’s why it was uninamously Name the NDDC Headquarters as “Chief Dappa Biriye House” because of our Great imput for creations NDDC from a defunct OMPADEC through the acts of Parliament No6 act 2000 and with a Core mandate of Development of Nine states that made up the Niger Delta Regions.
SSOPEC during their last meeting over the weekend in port harcourt were happy about the leadership style of President Tinubu especially in balancing appointment of New ministers to suits the Federal Character principle with women inclusion in governance which applied 35% Affirmative action for women inclusion.We are happy about appointments of sons and daughters into your Government.
SSOPEC Also thanks Mr president for Removing subsidy because most of your Predecessors found it difficult to do it which makes some dubious politicians see it as a chanel of siphoning federal government funds for their private used.we call on Nigerian to be patient with the government and wait for some palliatives to Cushion the Effects of the removal oil subsidy.
Finally the Chairman of SSOPEC (EMERITUS PROFESSOR SOTONY FIBERESIMA AMAKIRI (MNI)who was a former Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuri University of Education,port harcourt Rivers state and a Professor of Vetinary Medicine , University of Ibadan in his Votes of thanks pray to God to guide president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to put Nigeria back and call for a Unified Nation and True federalism.
