The Sports Ministry on Wednesday carried out a shake-up of the sports federations’ secretaries.
The re-organisation brought to a close weeks of anxiety and speculations in the sports sector as the long awaited list of postings emerged.
According to the new set up of the federations, the Athletics Federation of Nigeria has Niyi Beyioku, Aquatics – Sani Mohammed, Boxing – Dapo Akinyele, Basketball – Peter Njoku, Chess – Olabowale Adeosun, Cycling – Makpa Shammah, Weightlifting – Melvina Apeh, Judo – Abass Wosilat and Taekwondo – Kabir Yusuf.
Rowing and Yatching – Bunmi Oloude, Wrestling – Mohammed Maigidasanma, Tennis -Abolude Oludayo, Handball – Umar Landobu, Rugby – Joel Akinluwa, Squash -Otumola Monica, Golf – Ademisoro Oluwasegun, Wushu Kungfu – Chimezie Asiegbu, Para Soccer – Friday Solomon, Traditional Sports – Shehu Guti, Karate – Maikano Adamu, Fives – Salisu Mamman, Shooting -Thuksoniv Ejiro, Volleyball – Ngozi Amayo, Darts -Anikwushe Evelyn and Hockey – Rita Mosindi.
Others are Para Powerlifting – Libata Ahmed, Gymnastics – Davies Oludare, Table Tennis – Monday Obot, Badminton -Obilor Lilian and Scrabble -Obed Oludare.
