Sports Minister, Kida, Mark salute D’Tigress’ galant victory

The  Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh and the President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Engineer Musa Kida have showered praises on  D’Tigress for their outstanding performance as Nigeria defeated Australia 75-62 in a thrilling encounter on Monday morning.

The win marks Team Nigeria’s first win at this year’s Olympics taking place in Paris, France.

Senator Enoh expressed his pride and excitement, stating, “This victory is not just a win; it is a monumental achievement. Our D’Tigress has shown the world what determination and teamwork can achieve. They have made every Nigerian proud, beating the number three nation in the world rankings.”

An  elated Kida described the win as historic and inspirational, in view of the fact that no Nigeria Basketball team had won a match in 20 years, prior to this match. He praised the resilience and determination of the D’Tigress to defeat the current world’s third rated team in the world.

Similarly, Basketball promoter and Initiator of Mark D’ Ball Basketball Championship,  Igoche Mark has charged D’Tigress to aim at the Bull’s Eye, after their impressive victory on Monday against Australia at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics to aim

Mark, while reacting to the Monday’s victory stated that victory is for the entire country, as he urged the ladies to use the triumph against Australia as a springboard to greater heights and return home with an Olympic medal.

“This triumph should not be seen as the end of your journey, but rather as a springboard to greater heights. A podium finish is within your grasp, and I have no doubt that you have the ability to bring home an Olympic medal. Onwards to the bull’s eye, D’Tigress.” Mark stated.
