England international Djed Spence is expected to arrive in Italy on Thursday evening ahead of his medical with Inter as the Serie A club move closer to completing his transfer from Tottenham Hotspur.
Inter and Tottenham have reached an agreement after lengthy negotiations, with the Italian club set to pay a fixed €31.5m fee for the 25-year-old defender.
The deal could rise to €35m when performance-related bonuses are included, while Tottenham are also understood to have negotiated a 10 per cent share of any future sale.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spence has already packed his belongings and is expected to land in Milan later on Thursday.
The defender will spend the night in a hotel before undergoing his medical examinations on Friday. The process will involve checks with Inter before further tests are conducted by specialists from the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI).
Once the medicals are successfully completed, Spence is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Nerazzurri.
His proposed contract is reportedly worth around €2.6m per season, with additional performance-related bonuses included.
Spence is also said to have selected the No.24 shirt at Inter, a number previously worn by former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen during his time at the Italian club.
The move would see Spence return to Italy after his previous experience in Serie A, having spent six months on loan at Genoa in 2024.
The England international will now look to establish himself at Inter as the club prepare for the new season, with his versatility and experience in Italian football expected to strengthen their defensive options.
