Spain midfielder, Gavi has fulfilled a pre-tournament pledge by dyeing his hair pink after La Roja lifted the 2026 World Cup.
The 21-year-old posted a photo of himself with pink hair on social media on Tuesday with the caption: “A man of his word.”
The midfielder had made the promise in an interview with RAC1 before the tournament.
Gavi’s Barcelona teammate, Ferran Torres scored the lone goal as Spain defeated defending champions Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final at MetLife Stadium on July 19 to claim their second World Cup title, 16 years after their 2010 triumph.
Shortly after the final Gavi posted on X: “I’m still dreaming, we are…!!!!WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!” alongside a photo holding the trophy.”

His hair change was one of several light-hearted promises made by Spain’s young squad that went viral during the tournament.
Pedri said he would dye his hair white or blond, while Lamine Yamal vowed to grow a beard and moustache for three weeks if Spain won.
Ferran Torres pledged to shave his head, and Marc Cucurella, Alex Baena and Borja Iglesias said they would get a tattoo of coach Luis de la Fuente’s face.
Cucurella recently fulfilled his promise by getting a tattoo of de la Fuente on his left arm.
