Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has told the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi that South East geopolitical zones is not his catchment area.
He said the former Anambra State governor claims to be politically strong in the zone whereas he is not on ground in the area.
Umahi stated this in Onueke, Ezza South Local Government Area on Friday while inspecting some ongoing Federal Government projects in Ebonyi State.

He accused Obi of being desperate, claiming that Obi was raising the alarm on threat to his life to curry sympathy when no one was after him
“ Nobody is after him. We want him to be on the ballot to make the victory very sweet, because he says that the South East is his catchment area, and I’m saying that the South East is not his catchment area.
“What happened in 2023 was an accident of history, and it is going to be proven in 2027, because the South East will massively vote for President Tinubu.
“There’s nothing personal between me and Peter Obi, but, you know, he should speak the truth to help the people of the South East,” he said.
