Soundcity On Tour returned to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in spectacular fashion, attracting more than 5,000 students despite a heavy downpour.
The UNILAG edition, the third stop of the nationwide campus tour after Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) and Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), featured performances by top Nigerian artistes including Qing Madi, Falz, Joeboy, Wande Coal and Mr P, who kept the crowd entertained throughout the event.

The concert also spotlighted emerging talent, with over 25 rising artistes performing on the Soundcity stage. Participants in the BIGI Music Competition competed for prizes worth over ₦5 million, including student scholarships, as part of BIGI’s 10th anniversary celebration.
Executive Producer Adedeji Adeniji described the UNILAG turnout as a major milestone for the tour.
“UNILAG has truly set the bar. The energy, resilience and turnout, even in the rain, were extraordinary. We’re excited by the momentum we’ve built and look forward to visiting the remaining 17 campuses,” he said.
With three campuses completed and 17 more to visit, Soundcity On Tour continues its mission of celebrating music, youth culture and emerging talent across Nigeria.
