Samuel Aondoakura Akume, son of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on Saturday married Deborah Ershima, daughter of Engineer Msula Atoga, in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
The wedding ceremony, described as modest and private, was attended by close family members and a select group of dignitaries.
Vice President Kashim Shettima was present at the wedding reception, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He was received by Senator Akume and the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.

Also in attendance was the groom’s mother, Chief Mrs Hanmo, a former wife of Senator Akume, alongside other invited guests.
The wedding comes shortly after Senator Akume’s recent marriage to Queen Zaynab Otiti Obanor (Ngohemba) and the cultural activities that accompanied her homecoming to Gboko, marking a period of notable personal milestones for the Akume family.
