The Anambra State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday, discredited Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s frequent claims that his administration is working with the party and its members including President Bola Tinubu, who is the national leader of the party.
Soludo, the national leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), who also won his first and second term governorship elections on the party’s platform, has always professed his friendship with Tinubu and his party, claiming that “progressives are working together.”
But, at a press conference in Awka, the state capital, chairman of the party, Senator Emma Anosike, claimed that Soludo was deceiving the President in order to continue to get favours from him at the federal level, while he continues to work against the APC in the state.
Anosike said that Soludo has neither given the APC any sense of belonging in his government nor allowed it a breathing space, yet “goes about to claim that he’s working with Tinubu” and his party, the APC.

The APC chairman, who addressed journalists shortly after the inauguration of the newly elected state officers of the party, told the party members to prepare for the 2027 general elections as he’s prepared to give them every necessary support they may require to win.
“If we are working together, you must work for Mr. President. So we must send our first 11 to the National Assembly to work with Mr. President.
“If you are working with Mr. President you cannot come to the National Assembly with a different party. So, if you feel that you’re working together, that progressives are working together, let those your progressives (APGA members) join APC, contest elections in APC and win,” the party leader said.
Anosike also told Soludo to join the APC officially to prove his claims of working with President Tinubu, making it clear that his administration would not tolerate business as usual.
