Soludo appoints UNIZIK Professor Ndirika, Provost, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe

Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has appointed Victor Ifeanyi Obiora Ndirika,  a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka as the new Provost, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, (NOCEN) Nsugbe. 

A statement signed by Christian Aburime, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Monday described Ndirika as “a renowned Agricultural Engineer and eminent scholar”

Aburime disclosed that before his new appointment as provost, Professor Ndirika was a top-grade engineer, lecturer, administrator, and researcher who has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and publications in reputable journals.

He said that while Professor Ndirika brings much experience to his new role, he is expected to lead Nwafor Orizu College of Education to a whole new era of all-round excellence in producing world-class, modern teachers for Anambra State and beyond.

Reacting to the development. Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie congratulated Professor Ndirika on his merited appointment. He noted that many distinguished staff of Nnamdi Azikise University are engaged in public service delivery across different institutions and organisations both within Nigeria and across the globe.

He described the development as a sign that the university has become a reliable human resource pool of competent personnel blazing the trail in all fields of human endeavor.
