Soludo appoints finance lawyer pioneer CEO, Anambra Investment Corporation

The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed Nwabunwanne Okonkwo as the Chief Executive Officer of the newly established Anambra State Development and Investment Corporation (ADIC).

A statement issued, yesterday, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, confirmed that Okonkwo has been appointed to execute the corporation’s mandate of attracting, financing, and overseeing major business and infrastructure projects.

The corporation is also tasked with driving private-sector investment in Anambra State.

The statement described Okonkwo as a finance lawyer with over 16 years of experience in the financial services sector.

The statement further revealed that, prior to his appointment at ADIC, Okonkwo served as the Managing Director of DLM Advisory, the investment banking arm of DLM Capital Group, a development investment bank known for leading innovative transactions in Nigeria.

It also noted that he has helped mobilise over $1 billion for governments and corporate organisations across multiple industries in Africa.

Okonkwo, 39, holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Wayne State University, Michigan, USA.
