Soldiers rescue more women, children from terrorists

SOLDIERS on counter insurgency operation in the North East have continued to rescue more people held captives by mem­bers of the Boko Haram terrorists.

In its latest offensive against the terrorists hideouts at Nimila village, soldiers of 155 Task Force Battalion were said to have rescued 14 persons and recovered weapons.

The rescued persons comprising mostly women and chil­dren, were rescued by the soldiers while on patrol of the area.

Weapons recovered include three Dane guns, one single barrel, two double barrels, while three motor cycles abandoned by the terrorists and two mobile telephone handsets were re­covered.
