Nigerian digital finance startup Snapiro has launched Version 2.0 of its platform, a significant architectural overhaul designed to raise the standard of security, reliability, and user experience across its suite of digital transaction services.

Founded in 2020 as a WhatsApp-based cryptocurrency exchange, Snapiro has grown into a full-featured mobile platform offering airtime and data purchases, utility bill payments, gift card trading, and cryptocurrency conversion. Since the app’s debut in March 2026, the platform has attracted over 5,000 registered users.

V2 introduces a suite of infrastructure-level upgrades: enhanced account protection, improved transaction reliability, smarter withdrawal safeguards, and a more resilient platform architecture built to scale. Together, these changes represent what the company describes as a foundational shift, not merely a product update, but a rebuilding of the platform’s core.

“At Snapiro, we believe that moving money and digital assets should be simple, fast, and secure,” said Founder and CEO Larry Frank. “As our community grows, so does our responsibility. V2 isn’t just an update, it’s a major upgrade to the foundation of everything we do.”

The launch comes at a time when digital payment platforms across Nigeria face growing pressure to demonstrate platform stability and user protection, with trust being the central currency of adoption in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Larry sees that trust as inseparable from Snapiro’s long-term mission. “Every transaction on Snapiro represents someone’s hard-earned money, someone’s business, someone’s future. We never take that lightly.”

With V2 now live, Snapiro is positioning itself for its next phase of growth, expanding its reach and deepening its commitment to building digital financial technology that works for everyday Nigerians.
