Skies safer now – Borno Governor

From Sola Ojo, Abuja

Following the relative safety in Nigeria aerospace in recent times, the celebrated Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has lauded the commitment of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in that regard.

Zulum, who made this remark during a courtesy call on the Ag. Director-General of the Authority, Capt. Chris Najomo, in Abuja, noted the significant improvement in airspace safety since Najomo assumed office as NCAA helmsman.

According to him, the Ag. DG has ensured improved compliance with flight regulations and safety issues, which is evident in smooth flights across the country in recent times.

Responding, Capt. Najomo affirmed that, even though his mantra has always been “Ease of doing business”, the complete mantra is, “Ease of doing business without compromising safety.”

While commiserating with the governor and Borno people over the recent flood incident in the state, Najomo praised the developmental strides achieved so far by the governor before the duo went into a private meeting, focusing on areas of mutual benefit.
