Chartered accountant and author, Simeon Adewale Oladele, is set to launch his new book on and also commission community projects in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Oyo State grassroots elder statesman and United Nations Peace Ambassador announced via social media that the public presentation of the nonfiction book, ‘Determined Not To Fail’ will be held on 19th February, while the commissioning of the community projects will take place on February 18. Both events will be held at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, Port of Spain.

Oladele, who serves as the Finance Attaché at the Nigerian High Commission in Trinidad and Tobago, announced that the projects are a community development project, blood donation at the blood bank, and the inaugural 7km run/walk in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

He revealed that the book and project launch is themed: ‘Chasing dreams: Every step counts’, with political scientist and former High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Nigeria and Ghana, Ambassador Nyahuma Obika, as the Chairman of the launch event.

“This book is a heartfelt message of hope and perseverance, crafted especially for everyone facing challenges in their lives,” Oladele wrote on his Facebook wall.

He stated that the book encourages people to rise above their struggles and keep pushing forward, with each chapter exploring a different aspect of determination, from discovering one’s drive, setting clear goals, cultivating excellence, managing time, and building a legacy, to developing resilience and learning from failure.

Oladele further stated that the nonfiction serves as a guide and a reflection tool for readers seeking clarity, growth, and impact in leadership and life.

The author said that the book will be donated to schools in Trinidad and Tobago, and Nigeria. ‘Determined Not To Fail’ has fourteen chapters and is divided into two parts — ‘The Seed of Determination’ and ‘The Lifestyle of Great Achievers’.

The Group Chief Executive of OANDO, Wale Tinubu, who wrote the foreword of the book, praised it as a work that mirrors the discipline, clarity, and courage required to build and sustain meaningful impact in a world that often rewards shortcuts over substance.

A review described the work as a motivational book and as a leadership manual for a generation at a crossroads.

Oladele said he is “passionate about touching lives and making impact” everywhere he finds himself, adding, “It is a testimony of my automatic appointment with the Federal Government.”
