Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Abdullahi Ganduje and Aminu Bello Masari have rallied Northern artists and creative industry practitioners to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.
Shettima said the North stood to benefit from the Tinubu administration’s creative economy initiatives and urged practitioners in the region to support the President’s re-election in the interest of fairness and national unity.
The Vice President spoke yesterday in Abuja while receiving a delegation of Northern Performing Artists under the aegis of Triple-R For Renewed Hope at the APC campaign office.
He said the administration’s creative economy programmes would provide opportunities for Northern artists, filmmakers and musicians to expand their businesses, preserve cultural heritage and create jobs.
Shettima assured the artists that the Federal Government would continue to introduce targeted interventions to support creative professionals in the region.
He also urged them to remain committed to the APC, expressing confidence that the impact of the administration’s economic reforms and other policies would become more evident across sectors.
Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, said Tinubu’s re-election campaign would be anchored on the administration’s record in office and urged Nigerians to assess the government on its performance.
Yari also rejected opposition claims that the North had been marginalised in federal appointments and projects, insisting that the region had received fair treatment under the administration.
He urged the artists to disregard narratives suggesting that the North had been excluded from the government’s programmes and to mobilise support for the APC.
