Vice President Kashim Shettima has praised Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma’s progressive leadership on his 67th birthday, calling it a model worthy of emulation across the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Nigeria.
According to a statement by his media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, in a heartfelt congratulatory message, Shettima highlighted Uzodimma’s role as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), the umbrella body for APC-elected governors. He commended the governor’s ability to rally his peers toward a shared vision under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Senator Uzodimma has demonstrated exceptional capacity to unite and galvanise the party’s Governors towards achieving a collective vision for Nigeria’s development,” Shettima stated.

Describing 67 as a pivotal milestone, the Vice President noted it underscores Uzodimma’s journey and future potential. He lauded the governor’s governance in Imo State, saying, “Your exemplary leadership as Executive Governor of Imo State continues to inspire confidence and progress.”
Shettima also referenced Uzodimma’s recent appointment by President Tinubu as a Renewed Hope Ambassador, terming it “a well-deserved recognition of your unwavering dedication to the ideals of our administration and your proven ability to articulate and champion the transformative agenda.”
The Vice President pointed to Uzodimma’s strategic governance, infrastructure strides, and commitment to Imo State’s prosperity as exemplars of the leadership Nigeria requires now. He prayed for divine wisdom, health, and strength to sustain the governor’s service.
