The SHE Global Awards, which celebrates women who have made significant contributions to business, society, the environment, entrepreneurship and more, will take place on April 13 in Lagos.
The theme for this year’s event is “The Lipstick Force.”
At a recent press conference announcing the event, Amb. Helen Adeshola Onadipe, founder of Ladies in Business Magazine Global and the organiser of the awards, shared that the event promises to transcend borders, highlight the remarkable achievements of women, and emphasize the power of the “Lipstick Force.”
Onadipe further explained that the SHE Global Awards Inc. 2025 is more than just an awards ceremony – it is a movement dedicated to honoring women from all walks of life who have excelled in business, leadership, innovation, and community impact.
“This event will celebrate the indomitable spirit of women who break barriers, defy the odds, and inspire future generations to dream bigger, achieve more, and make the impossible possible,” she added.
Reflecting on the theme, Onadipe said: “The Lipstick Force embodies the strength, resilience, and grace that women represent. Lipstick is a symbol of confidence, empowerment, and individuality, while force speaks to power, action, and change. Together, these terms depict the modern woman: multifaceted, dynamic, and determined to make a difference.”
She emphasised that Ladies in Business Magazine Global is committed to ensuring women’s voices are heard, seen, and celebrated.
“We continue to champion women in business worldwide, not only recognising the prominent figures but also the unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes,” she said.
The Chairman for the event will be Hugh Keku Aryee, Commissioner, Vanuatu Trade Commission to Ghana, African Diaspora Central Bank (ADCB), and CEO of Hanypay Ghana Ltd. The Chairwoman of the day will be Nalan Ozkan, Vice President of the International Businesspersons and Diplomats Union, Turkey.
Onadipe expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from keynote speakers, international guest speakers, partners, and the entire SHE Global Awards Inc. team. She emphasized that the event would serve as a platform for collaboration and networking, allowing women to share ideas, forge partnerships, and inspire one another towards greater success.
She also thanked the event’s partners: EON Cosmetics Company (Turkey), Rubellite Cosmetics Nigeria, Kolony Events Nigeria, Coins, Dewtees Cakes, Nigeria Tamcuisine Nigeria, Heartminders Foundation, and Alluring Woman Nigeria.
During the press event, Amb. Adenike Adedeji, CEO of Kolony Events and Designs, encouraged young female entrepreneurs to take advantage of business opportunities in Nigeria to empower themselves and other women.
