The Yobe State Government has won the State Fiscal Transparency Accontability and Sustainability (SFTAS) award as the best performing state in Fiscal Transparency and Accountability.
SFTAS, a World Bank programme, rated the Yobe state government as the best performing state in Fiscal Transparency and Accountability.
Yobe state became the overall best in Disbursement Link Indicators and the second best in debt sustainability.
The SFTAS award was in recognition of government transparency and accountability in conducting financial transactions.
Yobe state government has adhered to due process in award of contracts and supply through the Buteau for Public Procurement to cut waste and get value for money.
The SFTAS rating is in confirmation with the best Due Process performing award presented to the state by the Association of Public Procurement Practitioners of Nigeria.
