AC Milan attacking midfielder, Christian Pulisic has joined Ademola Lookman, the Super Eagles and Atalanta striker, in the Italian Serie A record books.

This achievement came during Milan’s 2-0 victory away at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on Sunday afternoon against Venezia. Pulisic opened the scoring early in the match with a goal assisted by Youssouf Fofana. In the closing seconds, Santiago Gimenez broke his scoring drought with a beautifully lobbed goal, thanks to an assist from Tijjani Reijnders.

Pulisic is now one of only three players in Serie A to have been involved in at least 50 goals (31 goals and 19 assists) over the last two seasons in all competitions, joining Ademola Lookman (50 goals) and Lautaro Martínez (54 goals).

This season, both Pulisic and Tijjani Reijnders have each scored 10 goals, marking the first time since the 1972/73 season that two AC Milan midfielders have reached double figures in a single Serie A season. The last pair to achieve this were Alberto Bigon (10 goals) and Gianni Rivera (17 goals).

Pulisic has set a personal record this season, scoring 16 goals in the 2024/25 season across all competitions, surpassing his previous high of 15 goals from the 2023/24 season.
