Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, CON, has taken a significant step toward advancing educational excellence in Niger East Senatorial District with the inauguration of a high-level committee tasked with selecting and managing beneficiaries of his newly launched merit-based international scholarship programme.
The inauguration, which took place on Thursday, June 27, 2025, was officiated on behalf of the Senator by Alhaji Bisalla Babasule, Sarkin Shanu of Suleja and Chairman of the Senator’s Advisory Council. During the ceremony, Babasule formally presented letters of appointment to the committee members and delivered Senator Musa’s remarks.
Babasule noted that the appointments reflect the Senator’s commitment to integrity and professionalism, describing the selected individuals as men of honour with a track record of public service. He urged them to carry out their assignments with fairness, diligence, and a deep sense of responsibility to the young people whose futures are at stake.
The initiative is aimed at selecting the most academically outstanding students from Niger East to pursue higher education in top-ranking institutions abroad—spanning Europe, North America, Asia, and other parts of the world. Senator Musa envisions the programme as a catalyst for producing well-rounded graduates who will return to contribute meaningfully to national development.
