Tension erupted at a Senate committee session when Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan staged a walkout following a heated argument with Senator Patrick Ndibueze.

According to a video shared on X, the confrontation began after Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan objected to what she described as an attempt to cut short her contribution.

Despite Senator Natasha plea to contribute to the session, the presiding officer moved to gavel the session

“Please don’t hit the gavel. I still have something to say, and I think you should respect me enough,” she said.

The clash centred on speaking rights and adherence to committee procedure. The situation escalated when Senator Ndibueze insisted, prompting Akpoti-Uduaghan to rise from her seat and exit the meeting.
