Former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who passed away this afternoon in a clinic in London.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday , Senator Kalu described the late President as a patriot who dedicated his life to the service of Nigeria, leaving behind a legacy of discipline, integrity, and national commitment.
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of our former President Muhammadu Buhari. He was a man of honour, humility, and sacrifice. His contributions to the growth and unity of Nigeria, especially in strengthening our national infrastructure, will never be forgotten,” Kalu said.

On behalf of the people of Abia North, Senator Kalu extended heartfelt condolences to the people of Daura, Daura emirate, the government and people of Katsina State, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging them to take solace in the impactful life Buhari lived.
He prayed to God to grant him eternal rest, while asking God to grant the family and the nation the strength to bear the great loss.
