Senator Gyang commends Tinubu For Assenting to north central development commission bill

Tinubu

From Jude Owuamanam, Jos

Former Senator representing Plateau North, Istifanus D. Gyang has commended President Tinubu for assenting to the North Central Development Commission Act, 2025.

Senator Gyang said he’s elated with this development as it meets the yearnings and quests of the people of the North Central geo-polical zone.

In a statement signed by the Media Assistant, Barr. Evelyn Pulle, Gyang said President Tinubu’s assent demonstrated his regard for equity, fairness, inclusiveness and regional balancing as each of the six geo-polical regions now has a commission to drive sustainable development and address peculiar challenges.

Senator Gyang said he is glad to have been part of the legislative process inherited and actualized by the 10th National Assembly.

It would be recalled that in the 9th Senate, Senator I. D. Gyang co-sponsored the Bill for the North Central Development Commission along with Senator Abba Moro, current Minority Leader of the 10th Senate. This was a follow-up from earlier efforts by the likes of Senator JT Useni (late) of the 8th Senate.

Senator Gyang equally expressed commendation to the leadership and members of the 10th Senate and House of Representatives in seeing to the passage of the Bill.

The take off of the NCDC will no doubt play a key role in engendering development, address challenges of infrastructure deficit, displaced communities, and the need for reconstruction, among many others.
