Senate proceeds on two-month recess

The Senate has adjourned for its annual recess, which will last for two months.

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, made the announcement in plenary on Thursday, July 24, saying the Red Chamber will reconvene on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

He urged his colleagues to use the period to complete their various reports and conduct oversight functions, while also directing ad hoc and other committees to continue their work during the recess.
