Sen. Onyewuchi mourns Iwuanyanwu

The Senator representing Imo East, Ezenwa Onyewuchi, was among early callers at the Abuja residence of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, who died in the early hours of Thursday, July 25.

The Senator in his condolence message to the family of the late business icon, who was popularly called Ahaejiagamba Ndi Igbo, describes him as “a man immensely blessed by the Almighty God, who lived an accomplished and fulfilled life.”

Sen. Onyewuchi, who recently decamped from Labour Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress,
prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed leader.

Iwuanyanwu who died at the age of 82, was born on September 4, 1942, in Atta, Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.

An accomplished business man and sports entrepreneur, he bought over the state-owned Spartans FC and renamed it Iwuanyanwu Nationale FC of Owerri.

He also founded Champion newspapers, Hardel & Enic Construction Company, Magil Industries, and Enic Advertising, among others.
