Senator representing Kaduna South, Sunday Marshall Katung, has reeled out a string of projects and federal interventions attracted to the zone.
These include an N8 billion medical equipment partnership, the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan and a N40 billion ginger processing hub in Kachia.
In a message to his constituents via Facebook, yesterday, he thanked them for their unwavering support, prayers and trust, describing his mandate as both an honour and a privilege.
The lawmaker disclosed that he recently secured a five-year partnership with Project C.U.R.E, a United States-based humanitarian organisation to facilitate the supply of medical equipment valued at approximately N8 billion to general hospitals across the senatorial district.
According to him, the initiative would strengthen healthcare delivery through the provision of medical equipment, medical supplies and capacity-building support for health professionals in the area.
He said the intervention is complementing the healthcare reforms being driven by the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani and aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
He also commended the Kaduna State Executive Council for concluding arrangements to hand over the Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital to the Federal Government, a move that would pave the way for the commencement of operations of a Federal Medical Centre.

Beyond healthcare, the senator highlighted what he described as a growing federal presence in the district, citing the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, with plans for a College of Medicine to be located in Manchok. He added that a Federal Medical Centre has also been secured for Kafanchan.
On economic development, he revealed that the Federal Government, in partnership with the Kaduna State Government, has finalised plans to boost ginger production and processing in Kachia Local Government Area with an investment valued at over N40 billion.
He noted that the Kaduna State Government has already committed N20 billion to the project.
When completed, he said, the facility is projected to become the largest ginger processing hub in Africa, creating jobs and stimulating economic growth across the senatorial district.
The senator attributed the milestones to what he described as strategic collaboration with Governor Sani, saying the partnership was focused on advancing the collective interests of the people, particularly rural communities.
While acknowledging that more work remains to be done, he assured constituents of his commitment to advocating for their interests and driving development in the district.
He also called for unity among residents, urging Christians and Muslims to use the coinciding Lenten and Ramadan seasons to promote interfaith harmony, self-discipline, charity and mutual understanding.
He, however, thanked his constituents for trusting the process, pledging to continue working toward sustainable progress in the senatorial district.
