Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Hajiya Queensley Sofuratu Seghosime, former President of ICAN, Mr Chidi Onyeukwu Ajaegbu, MD/CEO of Heritage Capital Markets Limited, and Prof. Jacinta Opara, Vice Chancellor of Dominican University, are among the distinguished guest presenters at the 2026 Almond Insurance Industry Awards.
The Chief Executive Officer of Almond Productions Limited, Ms. Kesiena Faith Ughwode, affirms that guest presenters were meticulously chosen from critical sectors of the economy in a bid to broaden the horizon of Insurance operations for better understanding and appreciation, as no economy can survive without the risk transfer mechanism which Insurance provides.
The epoch making event which debuted in 2018 to reward Change Makers and Innovators in the Insurance eco-system is slated to for November 6th at the Stable Event Center, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos.
The shortlisted categories this year (voting categories) are: Insurance CEO of the Year, Insurance Woman of the Year (Insurer or Broker), Life Insurance Company of the Year, General Insurance Company of the Year.
Others are: Insurance Broker of the Year, Insurance Broking Company of the Year, Takaful Company of the Year, Micro Insurance Company of the Year, and Most Valuable Insurance Customer of the Year.
For non-voting categories, there are: Insurance Life Achievers Award (Insurer or Broker), and Special Recognition AWARD 2026 (within and outside the industry).
The Organizers has also Unveiled Insurance foremost ICON Mr. Ope Oredugba as the recipient of the 2026 Insurance Lifetime Achievement Award. Oredugba a thoroughbred Insurance Professional, pioneered so many laudable initiatives in the Nigerian Insurance Industry. Some of which still adds value to Insurance operations in Nigeria today.
The recognition is therefore to celebrate and thank him for all his efforts and contributions to the growth and development of the Industry.
