A combined security agencies has rescued all the 18 people abducted at Kanya, Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
While confirming the rescue to newsmen through telephone yesterday, the Danko Wasagu Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Hussani Aliyu-Bena attributed the success recorded by the military and other security personnel to the support they enjoyed from the state Governor,Dr Nasir Idris.
He added that the affected people were rescued at Karen Bena as the bandits attempted to cross into Zamfara State at about 5:30p.m.
Bena lauded the present administration for prompt release of fund to security agencies which culminated into the successes being recorded, adding that the aid from government would boost the morale of security personnel towards protecting the lives and property of people across the state.
“Infact many villagers have started returning back to thier homes and continued with their farming activities. Since four days ago the army including the Nigeria Airforce have neutralised many bandits,” he said.
