Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has lavished praise on Kelechi Iheanacho following the Hoops’ victory against St Mirren.

Iheanacho was the hero as Celtic cruised into the Scottish Cup final with a sensational 6-2 victory against the Saints at Hampden Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Nigerian scored twice in extra time after entering as a substitute in the 83rd minute.

The first a superb header, and the second a brilliant shot from inside the box.

O’ Neil was delighted with how the striker impacted the game after his introduction.

“It was a tough afternoon, but there were some great goals, Kelechi Iheanacho coming on and doing brilliantly,” O’Neill was quoted by Celtic TV.
