Emerging Afro Pop artist SB Mena is set to kick off 2026 with a new single titled ‘Pressure,’ scheduled for release this February.

The Delta State-born singer, whose growing popularity has been driven largely by organic fan support, is steadily gaining attention as one of the genre’s fast-rising acts.

Born Efemena Masheni and raised in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, SB Mena draws heavily from his Urhobo heritage, blending indigenous influences with contemporary Afro Pop sounds. His music reflects the rhythms, storytelling traditions, and everyday realities of the Niger Delta while maintaining a modern appeal aimed at global audiences.

Describing music as deeply personal, the singer said: “Music is my heart’s language.” He is known for songwriting that balances confidence and vulnerability while staying relatable to listeners.

According to the artist, ‘Pressure’ explores the challenges young people face daily, including ambition, expectations, love, hustle culture, and the emotional weight that comes with striving for success. The track is described as high-energy, melody-driven and designed to connect across club spaces, playlists and more reflective listening moments.

Beyond the new single, SB Mena is also preparing for the release of his debut album, expected to follow shortly after ‘Pressure.’ While details of the project have not yet been revealed, the singer’s team suggests it will form part of a broader artistic direction.
