Cybersecurity firm, Saviynt, has appointed Kamel Heus as its Vice President of Sales for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), as the company moves to deepen its presence in the region.
Heus, who will be based in Dubai, will oversee Saviynt’s business operations across the Middle East and Africa, including Turkey, with responsibility for new business, customer renewals and expansion.
The company said the appointment is part of its strategy to accelerate growth in key MEA markets, strengthen its partner ecosystem and expand its local go-to-market operations.
Heus is also expected to lead the company’s regional channel strategy and support the expansion of its operations in Saudi Arabia, while increasing local hosting capabilities to address data residency and in-region service delivery requirements.
Commenting on the appointment, Saviynt’s Chief Commercial Officer, Pete Angstadt, said the MEA region presented significant opportunities as organisations increasingly adopt digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
According to him, Heus’ experience of the region’s customers, markets and partner ecosystem would be valuable to the company’s expansion plans.

Heus said the Middle East and Africa had become one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity markets, with identity security becoming increasingly important as organisations deploy artificial intelligence.
He said his priorities would include expanding Saviynt’s local presence, developing its partner network and helping organisations secure access for both employees and AI systems.
Heus brings 20 years of enterprise cybersecurity sales experience, having held senior leadership positions at Thales, Centrify, now Delinea, and Sophos.
Most recently, he served as Vice President, EMEA at Thales, where he led the company’s Identity and Access Management business across the region.
He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computing from Université Grenoble Alpes in France and has been based in Dubai for more than a decade.
Saviynt said Heus would also focus on helping organisations manage emerging identity-security risks associated with AI agents.
As AI agents gain access to enterprise applications and data, the company said they require controls similar to those applied to human users, including identity discovery, governance and lifecycle management.
Its Zuma platform is designed to provide visibility into AI identities and enforce least-privilege access throughout their lifecycle.
The company said the appointment would support its efforts to strengthen relationships with customers and partners across MEA while expanding its regional capabilities in response to growing adoption of cloud computing, AI and digital technologies.
